glorious, isn't he?
in my last refsheet drawing of King Sombra, I described his wings as semi-transparent and crystallized. well, this is what they look like!
real floofer, this one. and a chonker. I had some trouble with proportions during the creation of this piece, but I really enjoyed drawing all the floof parts. and coloring. I love gradients.
I'd like to imagine that, when one of the crystally feathers falls out, it is as delicate as stained glass, and will shatter if dropped from too high. Sombra doesn't drop these feathers often, but when he does, he turns them into quills. while still attached to the wing, though, these feathers are incredibly strong and flexible.
I love that expression, too. he's a pompous bastard.
