Ya I kind of am in a transitional phase from only liking stories where it DOESN'T end well for the girl to now more enjoying LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE stories like yours.Β I used to for most of my life only like Vore, Death penalty stories Cannibalism etc. (but not much into the blood / gore side of it), now while I still like such stories I much prefer stories like yours where girls are wrongfully imprisoned or do a minor crime and get the book thrown at them and subsequently get life sentences.Β You're right that once a girl is executed, where else can you go with that lol, possibilities are ENDLESS with life in prison stories.Β I think you would like my new story about 3 girls unjustly given life without parole by an evil corporation that controls EVERYTHING, leave a comment if you want, BTW thanks for the update on Marian, her ex. boss is one evil SOB.

(First rudiments of a characterization)

What happened?
After a work partyΒ Marian woke up next to a fatally stabbed associate she had a one-night stand with, herself covered in blood. A knife still stuck in his chest. The colleague told her before about a big case of embezzlement and fraud against investors and that he intended to disclose everything to the public. He also told her, the bank manager was already on to him and that the manager was connected to organized crime, so he had to be very careful.
Marian had a nervous breakdown after finding her associate next to her dead, and without thinking pulled the knife out of his chest thinking he could be saved. Of course she left her fingerprints all over the handle of the knife. Upon calming down she called the police to report a crime and denounce the bank manager, but was arrested herself.
She told the police what the associate had told her and that the bank manager without any doubt was the one who had him murdered for it.Β
As the bank manager had all sorts of connections he made sure, that noone would believe her version.
Marian was subsequently charged with the murder.

However I'm not so much into the death penalty thing, as I don't find any appealing aspect in that at all. That's why I always try to save the women over here from the execution someone else has condemned them to.
Life imprisonment is so much better, a lifetime behind bars just opens up so much roomΒ for all kinds of things that can happen. And the desperatation, fear and frustration of the women being stuck behind bars without any chance to ever be free again, subjected to the whim of the guards or anyone else with the authority to take decisions over them, is just so much more appealing.
So I strongly advocate to abolish the death sentence for women in any context.
As for Marian's fate, here is a short outline of what is coming her way:
it will be a close call, however she will end up incarcerated for the rest of her life in any case. She will be trying to get her case further investigated, and fight for appeals, however all remains without result. Whatever she does, it only makes her situations worse as her former boss keeps pulling the strings. He even visits her in prison once some years later, sardonically telling her to let it go or she will fall even further. However she will not listen and try everything possible and impossible to get free again, in doing so exasperating the guards and also the warden who are soon on to her. But all will be in vain, there will be no way out and no escape for Marian.

Wow, this is an awesome render and story, I love stories / comics like this that are in the courtroom setting and show the girls reaction to an extreme sentence, one that she most likely doesn't deserve, can't wait to see more from you!

Indeed.Β The jury (members of the yahoo group) voted to recommend the death penalty, and the judge agreed with their choice.
She has one appeal, if that fails she will be sent to the Regional Detention Annex to be put to death.

Hope we can be the witness of her execution. Would like to see her IV meet the needle. and dance her last dance in her gurney.

On the very last second however the execution is stopped as her sentence was transformed into life imprisonment by decree of the Governor.
So she experienced all the fear of an execution to the last and still has to face the despair and hardships of a prisoner's life, strictly barefoot and without rights, having no chance ever to be free again.
She will live behind the bars of a claustrophobic prison cell and frequently be harrassed by perfidious overseers that see it as their duty to put her down and make her life as miserable as can be.
Also as a life-term prisoner she will be subjected to different forms of corporal punishment, notably strapping or caning on her buttocks and whipping the soles of her bare feet (the "German caning"). Needless to say the overseers will take up any occasion to subject her to those forms of punishment.

BTW, do you approve of my brief characterization and back story?
After some deliberation I found the name and the plot quite believable for a women that looks like her.
By her complexion and hair I suppose she is of Irish descent. Marian is a name that really fits her. She looks very neat, so she might have had a higher social standing and a qualified job (which makes her whole situation even more humiliating). By her expression she really feels victimized by the system, so she really is innocent but framed by someone with a lot of power. She is utterly powerless and there is nothing she can do about her situation.
All considered she does not deserve to die but to live - however only in prison.
