Description
The Control Tower for the Advanced compact city ship prototype. Like Atlantis the tower sits in it's own little dedicated section at the centre, however unlike Atlantis this tower can operate as an independent starship. This design allows the tower to isolate itself from the rest of the city, having independent shields, hyperdrive and it's own set of 3 defence cannons. This isolation allows the tower to protect the rest of the city by removing itself and the onboard stargate if necessary. For example the tower being separated allows it to hide the location of the city from anyone arriving via stargate by positioning itself far away, or even in another star system, thereby hiding the current address of the city (There is a backup gate in the city, however this is usually kept deactivated).
