Description
Discovered orbiting a dying star near the centre of the galaxy, apparently disabled by some unknown event millennia ago. This is one of the earliest known Borg cubes. Finding it was down to pure chance as there a very few excursions to the centre of the galaxy and on top of that it's orbit kept it mostly hidden by the star's magnetic field.

Archaeologists are taking every precaution investigating it, though none of the mature drones are a threat anymore as their organic components have long since decayed, that doesn't mean the ship is completely safe. Curiously the maturation chambers for young and infant Borg seem to have entered a kind of stasis mode, and some of them may still be able to be revived. It is a fascinating find and may yet tell us more about the history of the collective and about the species these ancient Borg assimilated.
