Description
The Aquila class is a 7 decked 28th/29th Century scouting and survey ship. Built at the Andromeda outpost shipyards, these ships primarily operate in the Andromeda galaxy (though a few have been sent on excursions to other nearby galaxies). Like all ships in this time period, they are equipped with mark 5 QUIC cores (www.deviantart.com/d4j4b0/art/… ) and are capable of transwarp / slipstream. Also like all ships from the Andromeda outpost, they have bio-synthetic hull plating to protect the occupants from the Andromeda radiation field.

Here you see the aft shuttle bay entrance that uses a phase lock interface, instead of a conventional door to maximise the hull integrity for a small ship. You also see the narrow slit hyper impulse engines, capable of accelerating the ship to near light speed.
