Description
Second of two experimental federation starship designs in asymmetrical hull layouts. The saucer is split into 9 segments slightly offset in a spiral pattern (opposite to the Alpha version). The ship has 6 decks, but decks 2-5 spiral up and down around the saucer. The aft of the ship, the drive system, maintains the usual horizontal layout, instead of the vertical layout used by it's Alpha counterpart.The Beta version is set up as a tactical design. It has a more powerful weapons loadout and a more heavily armoured hull.
