Description
An asymmetric Federation design.This ship is designed to act as a research and patrol vessel along Federation borders. The asymmetric layout allows for a more compact profile, while keeping a high power deflector tucked into the spaceframe. It is equipped with 4 dorsal and 4 ventral phaser arrays with 2 forward and 1 aft torpedo/probe launchers. The Forward/Port "half saucer" can be used as an emergency lifeboat and separated from the Aft/Starboard engineering section.
In this view you can see the 2 impulse engines, positioned so that the port engine becomes the primary in a separation emergency.
