Description
The Mouton Class was an attempt to re-visit the annular warp system design. Based on the older Oberth class this design is 141m long without having an equipment module attached. Also since it is a bit larger than the Oberth, it is fitted with a compact deflector under the saucer. Without it's module this ship is surprisingly fast, able to overtake even a Sovereign class and maintain it's speed for far longer, due to it's lightweight design.

It was also discovered that the annular design provides incredible stability when traversing subspace conduits, like the transwarp conduits of the Borg, with little to no subspace turbulence.
