Description
From the original 'Gojira' and its Americanization 'Godzilla, King of the Monsters!'.I was going to draw a bunch of the human cast but...uh...got sleepy. I just settled for my two favorites, Dr. Serizawa and Steve Martin (yep, Steve Martin. Got a problem? Well excuuuuuse meeee!).

Excellent work, chibizilla looks furious yet adorable (perhaps furious BECAUSE he's adorable? XD). Great details on Serizawa's & Martin's faces too

Thank you kindly! 'Furious yet adorable' pretty much sums up a lot of kaiju movies as a whole (and maybe some kaiju fans as well).

Awesome! This is actually a really really cool piece. It looks very traditional and retro! Even though its cartoony it still matches that retro style that movies had back in the day. You also drew Godzilla very awesomely too! You drew him with less derp this time lol. But you did a really awesome job drawing him. You were able to draw him with the perfect amount of retro 50's style as well as derp lol. Really awesome job!

Hey, thanks for the compliments! Glad to know you enjoyed the 'Derp-O-Meter' has dropped down to a reasonable level.
I still wanted to draw Godzilla in a 'toony' style to match the previous two pieces, but for some reason it felt necessary to make him ever so slightly intimidating in this one. "King Kong vs Godzilla" is a satire and "Destroy All Monsters!" is simple kidfare fun, but the original film deserves a certain amount of respect.
I'm also a defender of the Americanized version; I think it was very respectful and did what it could with what it had to make it more marketable stateside, and , fifty-something years later, it's still a fine job.

No problem!! You really did an awesome job drawing this piece! It came out really really great! I can tell you turned down the derp meter to preserve the rich story and awesomeness that the movie had. That movie is what started it all. Its definitely one of the best movies of all time and it definitely spawned the best B-Movie genre ever made. Hell even though the acting is a bit bad i classify them as Hollywood quality. Not only that but ut also spawned one of the largest pop culture movements too. You really paid respect to the movie with this piece while still keeping a little derp in it just so it could still be funny looking lol
