Description
Painted at the request of my Mum (who is now the owner of this painting) from a photo she had taken of her two adopted 'children', Taffy and Paddy
They're so funny 
I learnt a lot while doing this painting - firstly, the benefit of using the 'right' brush! I bought myself an angled brush and found the fur so much easier to paint with it! So now I'm planning on investing in more shaped brushes rather than just sticking to my flat and round set. I also thought more about paint transparency, underpainting and colours - I used purple for Paddy and red for Taffy, which was a lot of fun to do.
As always, any constructive critique, opinions and comments are very much welcome

Aww, thank you so much! I do think I have a tendency to over-detail things, but I just love building up those little touches so much! For my most recent painting-in-progress I'm trying to combine detail with creating some life - hopefully I'm getting a good balance between the two!

Well, I certainly can't give critique on this because I don't have the qualifications. I don't do much coloring, and the tech in the description is above anything I've ever done, but I CAN say well now I know where your avatar's from!
And it looks like both these cats had icons made for them, too, from the description, :3 even if that didn't quite happen.

No, I do different things from you. I don't paint at all and know little about coloring, so I really don't know about any of the art technique you used here.

Your paintings are so good they look like photographs- when small- so although your work doesn't look like that of the hyperrealism painters- and I don't even know if you want it to look like that- it still looks like that anyway made smaller, so your paintings are so good they look like that and I cannot critique them.
