I TOOK ABSOLUTELY NO PART IN DEVELOPING OR DESIGNING THIS APP... this is merely thanking them for this great application...
"Famulus is a simple file and application launcher. Press and hold the numpad * key for a fraction of a second to bring up a text prompt. Type predefined custom commands into the prompt and hit the Enter key to run an associated file, folder or program."
Features:
Use custom alpha-numeric commands to run files and folders.
Prepend the @ symbol to directly run web addresses, file paths or system commands.
The previous 5 commands are stored for easy reference.
Portable, can run from removable media and makes no changes to the host system.
Open source, written in AutoHotkey ([link] ).
Requirements:
Windows 2000 - Win7

This is awesome but it's as easy as using the start menu to run programs. I would probably use it if I ran a lot of commands but I don't. I still like the program and how responsive it is I just don't currently have a use for it.

Thanks, and it's totally fine; I dont use the Start Menu too often and most of my programs on on external HD's... but I'm glad you like it!

Ah I would use portable programs all the time (I'm using a few at the moment) except that I don't currently have the use for them since I run linux on my laptop and most programs now a days sync your settings in the cloud anyways so I don't have to worry about doing that myself with dropbox.

NP, it is an extremely awesome program, I even replaced my Dock for it!! And now that I know you have a dA account, I will obviously credit you for this great app!

lol you should remove my other comments, and let me say, that yes A.it does work, B.it's portable(which is conveinant), C.small size makes is wonderful, D.thank you kirby for bringing to light this app from which I would not have seen without your deviation.

Done. And thanks for the feedback, very glad it works, and glad you like it! And yes, it saves a lot of resources, it only uses around 200k which is GREAT compared to the average dock which takes up around 4-10MB, still not bad, but this is better, esp since I only have 1GB or RAM. lol anyways, happy to hear you like the program!
