I did some Googling and it looks like your camera has a macro mode that lets you focus as close as 2" from the lens...

In the early spring the weather creates a "stop and go" environment for a lot of insects: One minute they have enough heat from the sun to fuel their metabolism and the next the sun goes behind the clouds and they get lethargic.
At 4x there's not much of a Miner Bee that's gonna fit into the frame
