Description
Shot at three times life size with a Canon MPE-65mm macro lens.Windy conditions worked for and against me -the critter was more than willing to crawl onto my finger and take a break. But all the wind and dust made its eyes dirty...

This reminds me of MY eyes when I was doing carpentry and the sawdust got all in there.

I wish it hadn't been so windy that day, but I think the wind is the reason why I was able to get the critter to climb up onto my finger -exhausted from flying...

I wonder if the dirt on its eyes irritates it.

They actually spend a lot of time cleaning their eyes, it was just windy and dry that day.

I love the wavy colors on the eyes or receptors or whatever they are named. Very funky looking creatures. And great capture!
