Thats the best photo manip I've seen in a while, no wonder you're one of my favorites.. digging into the Lovecraft books only makes this better.
I usually make a big point out of actually criticizing what I comment on and taking my time to go in depth, but this is just too awesome for me to find anything to critisize

oh my god, that scared the crap out of me! its amazing don't get me wrong, but when you're sitting in a dark room listening to Cradle of Filth and that pops up on your screen, you feel the need to scream! Keep it up, thats amazing!

Thanks for all the replies, I'll try to answer some of the stuff in this single post.
Well I didn't use stock, or better; I used my own stock, I took some of the photos in the aquarium in the zoo. I always take all my photos myself, I have trouble with working with other people's material. It's indeed heavy photomanipulation, the thing is I tend to sketch out my ideas first and then get the right photos. I often see manipulations which are based on a photo, that's not the way I'd like to work since it's a kinda limiting method.

That is excellent, not just on quality, but on how it looks compared to descriptions in lovecrafts works.
He was very fond of creating terrific and awesome creatures/beings/gods that were "so terrible they are undescribable" as a result, Cthulhu and the likes are so hard to picture and imagine in your head, it's hard to find many "believable" drawings and images on the net, but this is one of the few which i think gets it in one!

fantastic rendition - i am a massive fan of lovecraft's, and i remember reading once that he intended it to be impossible to accurately depict his monsters. you've got pretty damn close with this.
