Description
Edit 1 Before any of you self righteous bastards even start, I tell you now that i drew this, because I feel badly for the individual dead, and sympathy for their living relatives now hit with such grief at their loss.I use Hetalia characters because I like it, and because it's a convenient personification. I refer to Japan because they got hit most, but I care about the individuals.
So before you begin your ranting about how I only care about my fandoms, or how I don't really get how the victims feel, or else, that I only care because it's Japan, you can shut your holes right now, and find someone else to whine at
End Edit
I've been following the tragedy in Japan since Friday, and I wanted to do something for it.
When I saw this, I was inspired [link]
Japan, you didn't even need to ask.
(I'm not trying to have Britain outshine the sympathy of the rest of the world, but being English, I don't feel I can really speak for the rest of the world)

no problem hey I know how it feels. I have to put up with all these other so called smart asses who are really just idiots and that's the fact they say we should be entitled to our own opinions but every time I try to state mine they get angery at me for it even when I don't like there opinions

I really find this to be a really powerful and moving piece especially given that the characters in Hetalia really seem to care about one another.

That was what I was trying to get across, but all people see are anime freaks, weebos, and all those sort of people. It's sad really that people choose to see that side of it rather than the genuine concern

What is more the real message in Hetalia for me is that, ignoring the things done to play for laughs, is to see that we really are not so different and should respect and care for eachother as human being.
One example is that I feel detached from some of my fellow Americans because some of them blame an entire people for the actions of a few.
Ironically thinking about the relationships of the characters and seeing Britan and Japan I think that America's whole belief in his being a hero would put him in a great deal of heartache due to the number of lives lost in that event.
Such as the fact that even those who are strong cannot stop natural disasters. For some reason I just imagine America crying at the loss of life.
I am sorry for the length though that was just something that was strong in my mind.

I like Hetalia because it takes many of the stereotypes and eccentricities of various peoples from a variety of countries, and bashes the hell out of them in hilarious ways. Not only is it damned hilarious, but I find it lessens feeling of hate in that way

If you are adding to the joke about no one noticing Canada not even America (His brother) just know I just laughed so hard I fell out of my chair.
If you are curious about the bear though. Canada owns a talking polar bear.
