Description
A character design sketch of the orisha Yemaya - a water spirit from the Yoruba religion. She embodies the nurturing power of motherhood and the feminine mysteries.I've never before drawn a pregnant woman so I thought I'd give it a try. It was really fun to draw her intricate costume with the many bracelets, expansive necklace and many-layered skirts.
Drawn in Huion sketch, which is so far the best drawing app I have tried.
