Aeons

Undercurrents, worn like layers of a song,

Playing homeward where distance is lifelong,

Her tune charitable and soothing, heals,

Where She stands, tiptoed, my heart truly feels,

Looking up the rhythm play deep delight,

With a sunrise view ready to recite,

The rites over valley sprite, Winter reading,

With total recall Aeons voices preceding,

The mercy of almighty harmony spread,

Across December intercession, faith bled,

Now resurface, herald a new choral light,

Fade once to repeat, grant us peace tonight.

Interludes with grace pray and prepare ourselves,

Call to mind violins and snow drifting elves,

As the Sun rises from sacred mystery,

She from unclothed sky makes our history,

We confess with flighty awe from dreams’ pardon,

Lighten the darkened thought, enter love’s garden,

Raise our spirits with anthemic vision,

Spine-tingling-sentiment from Winter’s precision,

Everlasting sounds waken the Soul blessed,

In peace steer a pure course, the heart expressed,

Bowed heads beam and misty eyed journeys made,

Now solemnity wades with true faith displayed.
