Ashes to Oaks

What message entails pressure under cloud,
Grey Ash silhouettes sway before dusk shroud,
Their lanced dreams viridescent with sky hue,
Evade whispering blue of admin-stew,
Taken with flanked Oaks, freed to social thrall,
Dawn's firmament worn, now eve's azure shawl,
Adorns escapism's wall of silence,
Through the veil, a landscape free from violence,
Enough said, such solitude uniting,
This life that links battles we're all fighting.

The essence of walking away to find,
What confides our troubled tribe's frame of mind,
In times as these beneath consoling trees,
Solace plugs drafty gap, where hope it sees,
Winning a view without losing faith true,
Seeking fresh ground many eyes look up to,
Released from a feast that didn't invite,
From first light post recipient benight,
The path awaits with composition tuned,
Written by heart to heal our deepest wound.
