I made some changes to the hand as you suggested. I entirely see what you mean about the basket, I'm probably going to attempt to fix that at a later time as well!
Thank you very much for the feedback and critique, I really appreciate it!

Okay, first off, here is a great painting with amazing anatomy and facail features. It also screams Red Riding Hood but my problem with the orginailty of it is that you say its your take but to me it resembles a bit too much of the girl who played in the red Riding Hood movie I am sorry to say but thats why orginality it so low. Though your technique is very impressive and the lighting and shading gives you an excellent impression of the mood of the painting. Another problem wih it though is the three big sploches of snow seem to glow and in a dark place like that forest, snow wouldn't do that. Overall, it is very lovely with hardly any problems and will be respected by even the most well known artists.

Though I entirely understand your opinion on the originality, I would just like to point out that I have not seen the movie. In my opinion the only relation to Amanda Seyfried's portrayal (I googled) is that she is blonde, and the other relations are simply the fact that she is Red Riding Hood. However, I absolutely respect your opinion on that
Thank you very much for the rest of the critique, I'm so flattered that you had some very nice things to say! Thank you

Your Welcome and the only reason why I said that is because though you might not have seen it; the whole recreation of something simular, whether it was intended or not, a bunch of times cause ideas to become cliches. I am glad you are flattered by the rest of the critique because though I do say the truth I also like to point out, not only some of the flaws but also some points of it that I feel were above and beyond. Your really do deserve every compliment you get on that and that's the truth.

Vision & Technique: This picture is amaisng, thogh, as you noticed it's missing something. Both Vision and Techniqe are maxed, because I don't know too what's missing.
Originality: Although story of Red Riding Hood is popular, this picture is not like others. For example, it shows Red Riding Hood as a young aduld or old teenager e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="
" title="
(Smile)"/> The pose is also amazing, nad blurred snowflakes' add some "evil darkness" into the picture.
Impact: Well, I think that I already showed how this piece of art worked on my brain, but I will repeat it: this is just amazing picture.
That's all. Continue doing thos eawesome pictures :3

Have you ever red the original? She is nicknamed Red-cap for the cap she wore everywhere that her mother made her. its by the Brothers Grimmβ€ whom wrote most of the old stories and some others that not everyone knows about like 'Snow-White and Red-rose' whom were sisters. look them up!

"Which path are you taking, the path of the pins or the path of the needles?" "The path of the needles." So the wolf took the path of the pins and arrived first at the house. β
Great work. Love the dead trees and the winter snow falling all around. Great stuff

Overall I really like this piece especially her hair and face. Very beautiful. However, when one looks at this piece a little longer, one realizes that her hand and fingers are very awkward (but the size is correct). The shading of the lower arm will be much better if blended more
Also, her neck and back look as if it's cut by the hood. As for the basket, I agree completely with the official critique.
Great job nevertheless!

I made some adjustments to the hand, arm, and the back of the hood (can't believe I missed that one especially!) I think the basket is going to be a lot harder to fix so I'm kind of hesitating to start! x( but I do want to fix it because I can see that it's wrong.

I love it. fabrics are hard for me to do, esp with digital art. It looks like you have mastered it here! i also love her expression, she almost looks innocent, but has a hint of cunning.

I love how the red, the blonde and the colour of the background all contrast. :heart;

This is lovely! I love how the blue in her eyes contrasts with her red coat. I also think the background works very well. It's not distracting and adds to the mood of the piece. I also love the effect you made with the snow. The only thing I can see that I would critique on, is to perhaps define her hand a bit more. I can tell how the fingers are bending, it just looks a tad flat compared to the definition in the face and the basket. Overall, a beautiful piece!
