Wow... it's not usual for me to draw a classic mermaid. I usually go for the sci-fi kind. XD But I dunno, I guess I just felt like drawing this "Little Mermaid" kind of mermaid.I don't know what she's doing. Fixing her hair or something? I used this for a ref: [link]

Can't think of anything to critique on :/ haha, it's very nice! ^_^ yeah, little mermaid style = good as long as it isn't in the Disney style (sorry, I'm in an anti-disney mood after being forced to watch video after video with my baby brother).

The composition is very good and the piece is very evocative of mystery. Somehow I cannot discern what she is contemplating on a rock in the middle of the sea. The anantomy is quite good too, as weel as the lineart.
P.S. She really does have a nice body and tush!

i love the way you did her tail and hair.
and the background and everything, how full the composition looks.
if i -had- to crit, her left arm position looks a little strange compared to how her back is positioned (HARLE'S VOCAB IS AMAZING REALLY)
but i'm not like an anatomy expert so i'm not sure.
