tip the outer corner of the eye down a little, eyes are fairly parallel to lips, ground, shoulders, etc

I agree with the critiques but I love it.
I like the expression and pose because you can just read his whole past and inner pain in his face. Awesome!

I agree with TearChan. The eye looks weird to me. Maybe lower it alittle bit to? Otherwise, I really like it.

Hmm, his eye is turning to much to the left, the shading on his fingers looks like they're burned... other than that it looks fine!
