Hi, please tell me how to restore the logonscreen to the default version, because after using the advanced settings button, i cannot use custom authui.dll interfaces (meaning, windows does not want to change the logon screen layout)!
I even did an sfc /scannow, but it did not help the problem... Please respond, i'm out of ideas!

and another problem: if you uncheck the CTRL+ALT+DEL option, it makes the checkbox from control userpasswords2 dialog disabled...

OK, so i finally found the solution after 3rd reinstall of the program...
To use custom authui.dll (and to restore default state of logon) you need to check:
-Light half opaque buttons
-Shutdown button
-CTRLALTDEL according to your preference
-Show accounts
Everything else must be unchecked.

What does it modify on the logon screen, just the background? Does it change the user frame, position of the user picture, position of the password field?

- Users must press CTRL+ALT+DEL before logging in
- Show information about last user
- Show/Hide accounts
- Display a text before users can log in

Thnks, i'll test if it works correctly because my graphic card is...not very good. And my processor is about 1.33 GHz with only 1 go of RAM. (Shaaaame.) But, I'll try on my notebook at the moment.

I'm having issues with this on an Acer laptop. I think it's because Acer has a preinstalled custom background for the logon. If you could, I'd really appreciate an update to correct this. When I set a wallpaper, it just sets the default Acer one. I can set the default windows wallpaper, but nothing else. Kind of strange...

You don't need to be mad because of that.
If you have the new version, you can go to the settings and uncheck the integration of context menu.

When I try to add an image that's too big and it says it's going to create a copy and modify it, where is this copy saved to?
π: 0 β©: 1
DanielNET In reply to HelioLukos [2010-10-08 22:32:53 +0000 UTC]
The copy is made to the System folder, you don't need to copy that image to anywhere for the background of your logon screen take effect.

I know, but i just wanted to get rid of the copies of old backgrounds that i'm not using anymore.

DanielNET In reply to HelioLukos [2010-10-09 22:34:26 +0000 UTC]
When you change the background, Logon Screen replace the old image for the new one, you don't need to delete nothing.
