This was a sketch that I did a log time ago, This was actually inspired from the drawstick contest a while back where you take a character, and mecha the hell out of it.[link]
got inspired and did this sketch. I have a bunch of stuff that I was saving for the website reREdesign launch, but Ninjai has to launch opticstudios first before that happens. So I figured I might as well post this stuff all ready and make some new stuff later for the reredesign.
anyway, DOC OCT MECHED out.

How did you do them? You painted the whole tentacle and then segmented it?

Those tentacles really came out looking great Dan, the lil mech tho reminds me of that ol' movie "batteries not included" .....fer robots those lil guys sure were cute. and the light under that hand thingie things was a pretty sweet i though. -Geo!

I love the tentacles and they have a very 3d feeling to them (I thought it WAS 3d when I saw the thumb!) I wish I could someday colour that well I was on your website few months ago and it gave me a terrible minority complex, all that beautiful art!

I like this design. It's simple... but then it suits Doc's character really well. Even though he's such a complex fellow. I love the colors, especially on the tentacles. I think my favorite part of this is the little bits of light under the claws. Nice touch.
