Description
This is for my senior project that I decided to go with in January. I'm doing a research about nostalgia and I'm also going to create four pieces for it as well.character designs, a commercial ad, a Cover, and a sequential page.
This is for the character design of Slash from the TMNT series. I believe slash was only in one episode from the animated series.
Drawing and colors by me. I still have to work on my pencils more.

nicely done... im a big fan of the whole painter style... only one sergestion, try using the desaturation in the shadows... too much saturation makes it look too fake like liquid does... but other then that youre da man

I pretty much still need more practice. I really don't want to go into the business before I'm ready to actually handle it, To be frank I'm just not ready for it. I just need more practice.

You're welcome. I stick with what I say though. You ARE talented, you've made great pieces of art. Don't pull yourself down. It looks absolutely great. And I'm not saying you should go make it your profession, because that's not up to me to say.

I really enjoy the monotone to the piece, and the weight the character has is tremendous. not light on his feet at all. True talent man.

oh wow, thats absolutely fantastic, the monochromatic pallette, the pose, the lighting, everything about this is amazing. he actually looks real, like he's actually a form rather than a shape. i guess that means you really know how to render well in 2D. well you have really impressed me with this. so

sadly he was only in one episode, but he was in quite a few of the old, cheesy, eastman and larde comics (the ones put out by Archie Comics that were the first comic books i ever read). very nicely done...he was always my favorite TMNT villain.

Dude! slash rocked hard core! he was a little pet of Bebop and got fed a little Ooze and became like that. i think the blasted him off into space or onto an island because his 'binky' (little palm tree from his terrarium) was on the rocket in the trash. awesome picture

i'm pretty sure slash only had one appearence in the animated series and they fuct him up really bad. his run in the comics was longer, he had at least one whole story arc about him.
are you the other pieces in your senior project going to have anything to do with TMNT?

two episodes actually. in another, he because super intelligent and kicked some more turtle butt. also wanted to "turtlize" the world. ha. would of been funny.

I need to learn how to draw. Slash looks badass here. A lot more so than in the original cartoon. I didn't like him so much then, but that's probably because he's the bad guy.

try the samples if you like it, you might want to buy something from him. I know it sucks to pay for tutorials, but It's probably worth it.
Also I have the same problem that you have only reversed. All I ever did awhile ago was color and color and not draw. So yeah it's very improtant to do both constantly. Don't lose strength in any ability or you'll regret it like me.

i think the snapping turtle was the other turtle, from the movie.the color u made him is great and the pose is aweosme.i jus think u should make his teeth sharper.i member is teeth being very jagged
