Of all the Dr. Who villains, the Daleks are simultaneously the most awesome and lame. For one thing, they're like super pissy R2-D2s, but with less personality. On the other hand.... EXTERMINATE!!

This is awesome! They always amused me, especially with those silly voices. They were so easy to defeat in some ways (plaster mud over the eyepiece, push from behind off a cliff), and ridiculous build (why on earth would one choose a toilet plunger for a limb!?).

I just started watching the series. It was a near miss, because after the first "mannequin" episode, I very nearly dropped it, but a friend told me to hold out a few episodes, and now I'm starting to kind of like it. It's very kitschy, but as long as I go in expecting that, I'm good

yeah, it is about expecting kitch, also the morals have become so outdated... Always a laugh to watch old episodes... Same goes for the old Star Trek...
