Description
These were the concepts of the inhabitants of the swordtown in Episode 8 of ThunderCats. I did a quick flat pass on the color to give the colorist an understanding of what I was looking for. It also helps to define the designs.Related content

Wicked designs, man!
I hope that I can make characters as wacky as these guys.

I thought Otto was never actually used in the show.

Not as a main character, no. But he did make it to being a background character. Episode 8.

ahhh.
Well hopefully you'll be able to have him become used later in the show.
What I'd find awesome is if Kat and Kit's dad survived the twister he got sucked up in, and he's back home whenever the the thundercats comes across their house in their travels.

Third Earth is a weird place, huh? How many of these species came on Mumm-Ra's ship, anyway?

Only the ones that resemble Earth animals, the rest are supposedly natives. Although during Mumma-Ra's invasion you see Tygus (Tygra's ancestor) fight the what looks like brain-in-a-jarΒ cyborgs and are called the real natives of Third Earth, so the ones that aren't animal-like could also be refugees but not from Mumm-Ra's ship.

(This response is very late, sorry!) The earth-animals being the ones that came with Mumm-Ra makes sense.Β I'm not sure the planet where they stole the War Stone is Third Earth, though; I mean, you can see other moons in the sky, it's possible Third Earth was a neighboring moon.Β One more thing we may never know the answer to because the show was canceled by dimwits. *pout.*
