Description Ok so it had to be done. Don't you just hate it when you get a ton of one word comments that don't give you any insight at all?

Well here's your chance to voice your disapproval.

one word comments are of very little use to artists. We don't know what we did good or bad based on them. Show your artists some love and give them a sentence or two. We love feedback we can use.

Good to see that I'm not the only one who thinks this. Comments are supposed to be comments. At least a semi-detailed sentence where you say more than a few words of why you think the picture or story in question caught your attention or your likings. Saying the annoying one-word comments are not comments a all.

I myself have always been a fan of comments, the longer the better, rather than a simple fave without so much as a single word even... Just faving a picture and not giving any comments at all tell me that the person who did it is either lazy or doesn't have the gift of words. I don't know which is worst.

People favorite your work because they like it, not because they want to annoy you, or be told how Lazy they are. A favorite in itself is a compliment. You should be grateful for that. No offense.

None taken, it is just that when people fave something, I would like to know why they liked it. Throwing in a few words would be nice and its not too much to ask for. I've seen a picture on DA with over a hundred faves and not a single one of them had said anything... I know faves should be treated as a compliments but really... A few words of appreciation is not too much to ask for, is it?

Asking for anything at all is too much to ask for, to be honest. :/

I admire your honesty as well as your opinion on the matter. We have the right to have our own opinion. You have yours, I have mine.

I agree. I'd rather not get a comment at all than get a single word that can practically be counted as spam. I'd feel better if they just fav and run.

I don't break out my wall of text for just anyone. Usually someone has to screw up or piss me off before I start ranting in the comments section.

Most artwork is meh or blah. Neither bad nor exceptional. I'd personally be glad for one word comments. Most of the time, people just favorite and move on.

I know right? xD It's like when I show someone a picture and they usually say things like "cool" or "cute". I get so frustrated cause I really wanna know what they liked or disliked about it so that I know what to do, or what not to do, next time

one word comment is meant for getting attention
Yea... they seriously don't help...
But we could not expect the more inexperienced artist to leave a constructive feedback or critique on your artwork right? A skilled artist usually made a picture with a few hidden flaw that an inexperienced artist could not spot.
