I like it. Very unique, and yet believable. I like these styles way more than the ones that plaster a huge image of a character on it.
I've been meaning to ask a few things since I started seeing your work show up in the Macross Universe group.
Can you tell me about the model? Is it something you've created, or purchased? It looks like it has a lot of the imperfections of the transformation solved, or well hidden. Does it use any 'cheats' when transformed? IE, changing the scale or shape of different parts to better match the line art?
What renderer are you using in Max?

Thanks for the compliment! A lot of the awesome renders in the aircraft groups inspired me to _not_ cover them with characters like I have in the past.
It's a model I made probably 10 years ago, and is so old that I can spot 10 things that need to be improved at a glance. But it was built following line art of the fighter from one of the Macross books. The intention was to make it transformable by using the toys and models as examples to avoid the cheats you're talking about. The parts are all technically there, but I never made it transform -- the Battroids in my gallery are a different model built by someone else, but textured by me (forgot to credit the builder in that last Battroid pic, I'll do that now).
The renderer for the Max pics is Mental Ray in 3ds max 2014 where labeled, all of the other ones are Poser or Vue.
