For the TEST YOUR MIGHT challenge at BattleArtists, the theme was to redo your first piece there...in 48 hours. And I made it! Old one is here: [link]Sure, didn't have time to redraw and fix some anatomy issues, and I used every trick in the book but meh. Last time a drew an amalgamation of the comics and cartoon Starfire, so I did the same this time. To be fair, the old one was done in about the same time so I just became more efficient. And yes, I'm sorry for the TnA pose, but...yeah, I have no excuse.
Well, to be honest, the old one will always be better. It has the most amount of soul between the two. But still, just seeing the two made me think how beautiful art is: you always start with a blank space, and from there on you pour your soul, with the end result being a slice of your mindset and techniques. Sure, it's normal to feel ashamed a bit of your really old drawings, but without them as a base nobody can get where they're currently at!...and sometimes they can hold up pretty well.

The dark contrast from the other one made it more powerful for me, but the soft coloring on this is nice in its own way. This'll be tough, but let's see if you best yourself maker of dares.

especially the fat lines of the old one, it looked more POWERFUL :V

It's okay, dood! I prefer the older one too, but fat lines need a lot of retrying so I just did some vector lines on Sai, which give a clean curvy look. And I fixed the face
