Description
This was just a random shot in the same Botanic Garden, where Botanic Attack series took place. I think this looks pretty decent, even thou' again, it's the same cellphone camera ^^.edit: Somehow the old upload was 1/2 the size of original photo. Don't know why. But now I retouched this up a bit and got this in it's 100% size. So now more print sizes are available

The beauty of this shot is in its silence, in its stillness, in its serenity. The emotion conveyed, at least as far as I can tell, is primarily one of peace and quiet...
...but with a sense of foreboding as well. The water of the river seems cool, quiet and calm. There does not seem to be any wind ruffling the grass or the branches of the trees. Off in the distance, grey clouds gather, portentious of a coming storm.
The artist's skill as well is evident with lining up such a great shot, on as mundane an instrument as a cellphone camera, no less.
Finally, on a personal note, I find this shot awesome in the classical sense--- inspiring both wonder and terror, marvel and dread. But, it has to be said, the positive side, at least for me, outweighs the negative, since grey weather usually puts me at ease and the place I always return to where all worries and cares just float away is a place like this--- a river, grass, trees, wind... only thing missing is a bridge and a dirt road.

This photo is beautiful. It's simple, but it managed to take my breath away. The blue water stands out over everything else to create an amazing effect. I really can't believe you took this with a phone camera. Even though this techinque is brilliant, it's used a lot by other people. On the other hand, the angle that this picture is taken from is also a positive. It make the viewer feel as if they are actually floating in the river with the currents. Overall, this photo amazed me, as all of your other pictures do, and it gets a five-star rating from me.

The contrast has a very nice look to it even though it looks dull. The dullness actually makes it look very beautiful in the scene.
The picture is very nice but it's like I've seen it somewhere though. But still, very nice.

I've been to Botanic Gardens but haven't seen this place (though it was during summer). Your timing going here is very good especially for the picture.

This artwork is fantastic considering its been taken from a cellphone camera. I mean really, it takes skill to shoot amazing photos like these. I think that you caught the scene very well and to me, the water looks like a path, which I think is really cool! This to me dosn't have any flaws in it, which is kind of hard for me becuase I'm picky XD And those clouds...I love them, and they reflect of the water so beautifully. I hosnestly think you did an amazing job taking this shot! It takes practice! (I think...I'm pretty sure though)

You know what they say: Owning an expensive camera doesn't make you a great photographer, it only makes you the owner of an expensive camera.
This photo here is the perfect example, just exactly the other way around – it's an astonishing picture, with a great colour scheme, a well-chosen perspective that gives you the feeling of 'a road that travels on and on', and a nice attention to detail, from the little minute waves on the water surface to the texture of the clouds on the sky.
And while one is always at the whim of one's camera with the latter, since you are always forced to work with whatever your chip is willing to actually catch, this image shows that, with devotion and skill, this too is an obstacle one can easily overcome.
It's usually not my habit to write critiques on here, mostly because I do not see myself in a position to write proper critiques of other people's artistic work, I just could not let this opportunity pass.

This is an amazing piece. The perspective is just amazing, I have no freaking idea how the artist managed to be in the middle of the river, but whatever they did it puts the picture in the perfect focus. The sky behind all those bare trees has such an impact, it would have been such a different picture any other way, and how it all fades at the horizon line, it couldn't be better. The color of the grass and the clouds in the water is almost haunting, I doubt I could find a bad thing about this picture if I tried.

this is another shot where you said it was a cell phone or not so good camera .. i just have to say i don't think it matters your Eye shows no matter what machine you are useing .. my first thought when i read your words was OMG >. if he had a " decent camera " no one would look at any other photography becuase his are just that good .. it is like when they horse race they weighted down Man o war .. so that other horses could just have somewhat decent chance. .. your work is gorgious and inspiring !!! .. i had a few of your stuff in my favorites before .. but hadn't seen some of the new ones .. so excited to see them 8)
