How Kaiju and other giant beasts cheat the “Square-Cube-Law”:

The Cryptid organization called “Monarch” has discovered an extremely important common-factor that all mega-sized beasts harbor in their bodies.

Monarch scientists have confirmed the presence of a neutron-strengthened anomaly called “Durastrands” in many of the mega-beasts they have taken samples from.

Some experts believe that the phenomenon of Durastrand-Evolution was brought about by ancient forms of radiation -- basically irradiated cells and neutrons that have mutated the biological infrastructure of animals with gigantism. Yet, this remains to be proved.

Durastrands were first discovered in some of the larger sauropod dinosaurs, especially those of very large size or those with very long neck. In fact, when an animal has such an extreme appendage in its body, even if it is small, there is likely the presence of these remarkable Durastrands.

As an example, a very large flying bird that may have an incredibly long neck or wings, may seem to defy the Square-Cubic-Law, much as many sauropod dinosaurs have in the past. But it is now known that Durastrands are the binding factor.

So even if an animal is small, it can have an oversized appendage, such as an extremely long neck or over-sized claw, this all due to the presence of Durastrands that give the creature the strength and flexibility to harbor such biological oddities.

More so, Durastrands are responsible for the vast and incredible occurrences of gigantism – they are what gives the Kaiju and Mega -beasts the actual ability to grow to mind-numbing sizes.

Durastrands lay waste to the standard “Square-Cubic-Law”, which in ordinary creatures would assess mass and weight and would have most kaiju of gigantic proportions become crushed under their own weight.

However Durastrands evolved to solve this problem. But how does any animal become larger than a building? - Well as the old saying goes, life has found a way. Durastrands are microscopic tendrils that are empowered by neutrons that give immense flexibility and strength to the biological structures they adhere to.

Think of how thin and frail spider webs seem – yet in real life, spider webbing is incredibly strong - its tensile strength still has yet to be matched by men according to its proportions. Durastrands do much the same and much more for many creatures that have evolved an access to them.

They often control and tamper with insulin and hormonal factors which regulate when a Kaiju/mega-beast “should” stop growing. They also create billions of microscopic support struts within the muscles, organs and bones of these creatures.

This does two things; one is that it gives the animals incredible durability and strength in every aspect of their body and organs. It also lightens their overall weight.

Miraculously, most Kaiju are not as heavy as they “should” be. This was a major mystery to biologists at Monarch, until they discovered how Durastrands work.

The support bands and struts that permeate a Kaiju animal’s body greatly lightens their load.

For example, a Mega-beast that was thought to weigh over 100 tons, may in fact only weigh about 40 tons due to the phenomenal adaptations that Durastrand-Evolution provides to these wondrous creatures.

Durastrands provide various adaptations to various creatures. In the giant insects and arachnids, it stimulates the growth of huge airways and multiple flanges of breathing tissue. This increases the amount of oxygen a giant bug can absorb many times over the standard limits.

In reptiles, Durastrands stimulate the evolution of vast blood-pressure control vices and thermo-regulators that control the animal’s body temperature.

Still, the most remarkable aspect attributed to Durastrands and their hormonal and body regulating functions is their ability to form “Meta-Organs”.

Meta-Organs are newly evolved organs that many Kaiju feature that provide each animal with some type of defense mechanism. These might include organs that spit out highly corrosive acid, fantastically toxic gases and even super-heated irradiated flames.
