Peter secretly wondered what a lap neko was, since he didn't even know that a neko was what Kody was. Ah, he had a lot of things to learn.. A lot of things probably changed..

Kody cuddled against Peter's throat happily, kissing his skin. "Starting to feel better, sweetheart~?" Nik smirked softly. "Leave it to the girlish feline to have a motherly love for the kid~" Kody blushed. "There's nothing wrong with wanting to help someone who can't take care of themselves!" He snapped, forgetting for a moment that Peter could easily pick the both of them up as if he was picking up a doll

(Ugh why do you make me pick? ;w; I dunno, it could be Sowil or like, a whole group or something. The rest of scientist have to come back sooner or later anyways.)
Peter was in fact feeling a bit better, his body not feeling as numb as it had before. He could feel his fingers and toes coming back to life, and could move them slightly. His vocal chords were feeling better too, Kody's body warmth must've actually helped warm them up.

Kody closed his eyes, ready to take a nice little catnap on the giant's throat, purring happily while Nik watched, chuckling. Nik smiled, watching the scene before suddenly the door opened and a blonde canine-like boy trotted in, looking a bit scared and nervous, but he kept coming closer slowly nevertheless

Peter hadn't noticed at first, a little bit focused on the weight on his throat. He wasn't uncomfortable at all, but he wondered how long Kody would stay there. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw something moving and knew it wasn't Nik. Turning his attention over there, he saw a different person who had blonde hair and looked dog-like. He nervously looked up at Nik, then to the new arrival, not sure what their intent is.

Nik looked over to the boy, then smiled. "Sowil!" The blonde jumped, surprised, and Nik chuckled. "It's alright, Sowil...the human's not gonna hurtcha...where's Jumper and Panda?" Nik questioned. Sowil pointed to the door. "Still hiding...they sent me in first to check if it was safe since you two never came out..." Kody snorted, rolling his eyes. "Kinda got caught up in comforting the kid, Sowil..."

Peter seemed to relax slightly when he saw how friendly Nik was at least being with the newcomer. He had never been a social person to begin with, and being thrown into this type of situation didn't help. He wasn't exactly sure how he would deal with others..but if Kody and Nik were okay with them, then they should be fine..right?

Sowil looked over to Kody as if the man was crazy. "What...the heck...?" Kody smirked, shifting to stand. "Warming his vocal cords." He explained, kissing the underside of Peter's chin affectionately. "Poor guy couldn't speak at first...but he can now, at least a little bit..." Sowil looked genuinely surprised. "Humans can TALK?"

Peter rolled his eyes a bit, as if that was the stupidest question he had ever heard. Of course, since he was a 9 year old boy that always seen people speak, he didn't understand Sowil's point of view.

Kody snorted. "Of COURSE humans can talk!" He snapped, snuggling against Peter's neck. "He's not much different than us...he's just bigger, lacks animal parts, and needs more TLC since he's so young..."

He smiled softly as Kody snuggled into his neck, feeling his heart leap with happiness. Peter honestly loved the affection the neko was giving him. Maybe..he was being a little selfish, but..when the apocalypse started, his father had less and less time to show him affection. He was a bit..affection deprived, so to speak.

Kody smiled and kept snuggling against him. "Who's a brave young boy~? You are~" Sowil looked genuinely shocked a moment, then said "I think Kody's going crazy..." Nik snorted in laughter. "You're not the only one~"

Peter decided to instead ignore the others for the moment, focusing on Kody. He smiled, his cheeks turning a light pink as he let out a soft giggle. He wondered how someone as kind as Kody could be a scientist... Scientist weren't usually so compassionate.

Nik chuckled, watching Peter's cheeks turning pink. "Wonder if he'll get to red if this keeps up~" He pondered aloud while Sowil crossed his arms slightly, watching the scene. "This'll be perfect blackmail later~" He laughed. Kody ignored them and simply kept cuddling against Peter. The young human had lit a motherly flame inside of Kody...and now, Kody wanted nothing more than to raise Peter as his own, scientist or not

Thankfully, he didn't seem to have too much heat in his cheeks, because he soon felt he had control over his right arm. He could feel his muscles and flex them slightly. Slowly, as to not startle anyone too much, he began to reach up to his neck, where Kody was. When he succeeded and his hand was close to the neko, he gently began to pet him with his fingers.

Kody was so busy snuggling against Peter, he didn't notice that Peter had been able to move his right arm, but the other two did. Sowil quickly backed up a few paces while Nik snorted and rolled his eyes, trusting the boy wouldn't hurt Kody. Kody stiffened up a bit when he first felt the pets, then looked over his shoulder and smiled softly, purring and rubbing his head against Peter's hand. "That feels nice~" Sowil smirked, shaking his head. "Kody's officially lost all his marbles..."

Peter let out a slight laugh, but continued to gently pet Kody. He was a lot like a cat..just more friendly. He wondered if everyone sometimes acted like an animal...maybe Sowil would run after a stick if he threw it? Probably not, but the idea of it was funny to him at least.

Kody purred loudly, relaxing and still rubbing his head against Peter. He was such a kind, sweet boy...and that was a good thing, because in Kody's mind, Peter was his baby now. And truth be told...Sowil actually WOULD run after a sick if Sowil threw it, but it'd have to be a twig to the boy in order for it to be a stick for Sowil. Nik smirked at the scene before him. "That's just TOO cute~"

Peter gave Nik a look, before sticking out his tongue at him. Playfully, of course. He turned his attention back to Kody. He had no idea that the neko thought of him as his baby now, but if he did know that he wouldn't really mind. He needed some type of guardian.. His petting continued, before he decided to move a finger to Kody's head. Ever so gently, he began to rub it, focusing on rubbing behind Kody's ears.

Nik laughed when Peter stuck his tongue out at him, and Nik, in return, stuck it out to Peter, smirking softly. Sowil chuckled, thinking 'They're both so immature...' Of course, Peter had a reason to act immature...Nik didn't. Kody's purrs got louder when Peter rubbed behind his ears, leaning into the rubs. "Right there, right there~" He said, smiling

He nodded, his wolf-like ears on his head flicking as his tail lowered a bit. "Yeah...humans are extinct...but now thanks to you...they're CLOSE to extinct..."
