Kendall, looking distinctly uncomfortable, shrugged off the question and made as if to leave the room.Β

"Anywhere else," Kendall replied, halfway out the door by now.Β

"Why?" chett asked, biting his lip. Had he done something wrong?

"Seems like the only way to end the conversation," Kendall replied, though not harshly. "I'll come back for you later; bye." And with that, he walked out.Β

Chett bit his lip, fighting back panic. He HATED being alone! He wanted to get up and go after Kendall...but obviously the larger boy didn't want to be near him for now...Chett curled up in a tight ball and squeezed his eyes shut, whimpering

Just outside the room, Kendall leaned against the wall, breathing a sigh of relief. Chett hadn't tried to stop him... Having no clue what this was doing to the tiny, Kendall strode on, prepared to enjoy some time alone.Β

Chett whimpered, staying in that position until he fell asleep, but he never did stop panicking inwardly, worried he'd done something to make Kendall not want him around anymore

After about a quarter of an hour, Kendall came back. Almost immediately, he noticed that Chett had fallen asleep, and he scooped the tiny boy gently into his hand, smiling a little. "Cute..." he said softly, carrying Chett out of the kitchen.Β

Chett whimpered a bit, snuggling into Kendall's hand

Kendall curled his fingers around him protectively, smiling a bit.

"There..." Kendall said with a smile, stroking Chett's back gently.

After a bit, Kendall sat down in a chair, still cradling Chett close.

Kendall froze in his stroking, not wanting Chett to call him out on it.

Chett soon fell back asleep with a mumble

Immediately, Kendall froze and shut up, biting his lip. If Chett woke up, he did notΒ want to have to explain what he was doing.

Chett started to wake up, but it LOOKED like he just went right back to sleep

After a bit, and it looked like Chett was soundly asleep again, Kendall cautiously began to rub his back again, a little guiltily.

Seeing that the tiny boy was enjoying this, Kendall felt a bit less guilty, but he still knew that if Chett woke up and confronted him, he would be very embarrassed.Β

Joke's on him, Chett was already awake, but he liked this so he didn't want to open his eyes

Since Kendall had no idea that Chett was awake, he continued the back rub.
