Nakia gave a gasp when the dridder had told her the news of what was going to happen to her. No anything but that! So without thinking as she struggled in the spider being's grasp had cried out to the first being she saw in the corner of her vision. Though she was quick to discover upon closer inspection, getting a slight glimpse of a tail that replaced human legs that it was a naga! And at this her eyes bugged out and went to struggle more. No! A naga had to be way worse then being fed to a snake!

The naga blinked, confused at seeing the scene he had entered into. "What's going on here?" He asked, not hissing his s's as he slithered over, reaching for the tiny human female. "What's wrong?"

Seeing the naga's hand reach over towards her, she made a little 'eep' sound before going to press her back against the dridder's palm. Thinking at the moment that the naga was going to snatch her or something.

The dridder looked at the naga. "May I help you, young prince?" His eyes narrowed. "What're you doing to this human female?" The dridder snorted before answering. "She's been in stock for much too long...I'm going to feed her to the snake in back." The naga hissed, then looked at her. "...how much is she?"

Her wide eyes couldn't help but stare, staying currently kind of still though she shook a bit. He was going to buy her? Was that good news or bad news? She wasn't too sure.

Jerome squirmed uncomfortably in the giant dridder's hand. "Please, no!" he cried. "I don't want to be snake food!" He didn't notice the only customer in the store at the time, a naga, but even if he had, his hope of survival wouldn't have risen much.

The naga--a young man by the name of Alex--frowned, slithering closer. "Is there a problem here?" He asked, then looked down at the tiny human. "Little one, are you well?" He asked, reaching to take Herome from the dridder

"N-n-no, I am n-not well!" Jerome said, curling into a tight ball with a frightened whimper. "H-he's going to feed me to th-that n-nasty old s-snake in the b-back of the shop!"

His eyes widened, ad he quickly took Jerome from the shop keeper. "W-what?!"

Jerome cringed from the sudden transfer of movement. But he didn't want to anger the giant now holding him, so he explained, "I've b-been here a long time, b-but no one's bought me, s-so he was g-going t-to turn me into s-snake food..."

He hissed at the dridder. "Well, now...let's change that..." He said softly, looking down at you before back at the dridder. "...how much would you want for him?"

He was getting bought? Jerome felt relieved that he wasn't going to become snake food... but then he realized the nature of his soon to be new owner and realized he might be anyway. Nagas liked to eat humans, didn't they? He shifted a little bit uncomfortably.

The dridder gulped, then quickly said "F-free...just...take him..." The naga smirked, slithering out of the store with the human, looking down at him. "What's your name, little one?"

Odd... how was the naga so intimidating even to the shop owner? Jerome was jolted out of his thoughts by his new owner's question and he looked up guiltily. "J-Jerome..." he said.

"Jerome is a nice name...is something wrong?" He asked softly, concerned for his new pet...no, no...his new FRIEND

"No, nothing's wrong," Jerome replied immediately, shaking his head firmly.

Jerome nodded. "Yes," he said.

He shrugged. "Alright then..."

"Um... where... where are we going?" Jerome asked timidly.

"My home...which is also your home now..."

"Oh. Okay..." Jerome said softly. He should have known that...

He purred, nuzzling Jerome

Jerome did not enjoy that sensation, but he did not resist. If this was something his new master enjoyed doing, he would just have to get used to it.

He purred, then soon came to a two-story house, going inside. "Are you hungry?" He asked softly

"A little," Jerome admitted. In all actuality, he hadn't eaten since the previous day, but he didn't plan to tell the naga that.

He smiled, going to the kitchen before setting Jerome down. "What would you like to eat?"

"Well..." What would be a safe thing to ask for? "A cracker?"

"Are you sure you want just a cracker? Anything I have is yours as well..."

"Maybe some cheese?" Jerome asked hesitantly.

He smiled a bit, and got out some crackers, cheese, and a bit of meat, setting them on the counter next to the human before getting some soda, filling the cap and setting it next to him. "Here..."

"Thanks," Jerome said, tucking in. He avoided the meat, however, since he didn't know what animal it had come from and didn't want to take any chances.

"Do you not like pork?" He asked, confused

"Is that what it is?" Jerome asked, looking over at it. "I wasn't sure... and no, I don't really like pork unless it's bacon... sorry."

He nodded, putting it back. "No big deal..."

Jerome was relived that the naga didn't push it, but he didn't say anything, just continued to eat, acting almost as if he was afraid the food would be taken away if he didn't bolt it down fast enough.

The naga, blinked, confused. "Whoa...Jerome, slow down...if you eat too fast you'll get bellyache..."

Obediently, Jerome slowed his consumption rate, but he still acted as though he was afraid the food might be taken from him.

Alex sighed, smiling. "Jerome...I wouldn't take your food from you..."

"Sorry," Jerome said. "It's a habit... the other human always would try to take it... you had to be on your guard."

"Never knew a naga could purr," Jerome remarked softly to himself, then returned to his meal.

Alex dug in the fridge, grabbing a few eggs, slipping one into his mouth whole

"Hmm?" He looked over to Jerome, confused as he crunched through the shell like the egg was just a chip

"Nothing," Jerome insisted, returning to his meal. Soon, he had polished it off.
