Description
The second Savior was Rogelio’s son, Angelo. He inherited the gifts that Rogelio received decades ago. Rogelio trained his son to take over for him when he retired. Angelo debuted at a very turbulent time in the early 1970s, despite he and the numerous heroes of Latin America trying to be a good role-model and a beacon of hope to the children. But by 1979, the worst has happened when the boiling tensions between the government and the guerrilla rebels had burst and escalated with the Civil War. As death and violence wrecked through El Salvador, Angelo was at his breaking point after learning that his mother was gunned down during a raid, he fought with his grief-stricken father and found comfort in his long-time girlfriend Alegria.
In the summer of 1988, the war was at the peak of escalating unresolved. But the worst happened when Angelo stepped in to save a child who was in shooting range of a gun fight, he was shoot point blank into his chest. A temporary ceasefire was held to mourn his death. A death that haunted both Alegria and Rogelio.
As you can see, the costumes get some tweaks to go with how he modernized the costume. i can imagine a homegrown superhero wanted to embrace his patriotism by wearing a belt that had the flag of El Salvador. I also had to include a tragic fate for this one to reflect the horrors that actually happened in El Salvador at the peak of the dreadful Civil War, it is a scar that our families and friends, even those of us that had not been raised under those turbulent years acknowledge to this day.
DISCLAIMER: i'm OK with people using parts to make their own stuff, as long as i am credited.
