Description
After the peace treaty of 1992, Rogelio was a broken man, seeing his homeland an emptier place than what it once was. He had tried to track down Angelo’s former girlfriend Alegria, only to learn that she fled across the American border to live in Los Angeles in 1989, heavily pregnant with Angelo’s baby. He tracked her last whereabouts and found that Alegria died in in a gang shootout, the state put her son in an orphanage.

By the time Rogelio arrived in LA in 1999, the then 10-year-old boy named Javier, he was alone and often bullied by the other children. When Rogelio found him, he embraced him and offered to take him in as he is the only living relative and requested that Javier call him ‘Papita Gelio’. Choosing to stay in Los Angeles after seeing that many Salvadorans had fled across the border and globally to have a better life. So, Rogelio decided to raise Javier like any normal boy.

By the time Javier was 17, his powers manifested. But was afraid of how to process this gift. After keeping it a secret for a while, he finally revealed it to Rogelio. And he in turn revealed the legacy he left behind. Unlike Angelo, Rogelio did not want to push Javier into becoming a hero for the homeland, but a hero to the people. He reluctantly trained Javier to learn how to control his gifts.

This is my favorite version, and fun fact i actually designed this one first, i made the golden age and retro versions later. Javi's costume is inspired by the extremes of the 90s and 2000s, the shading on the right was one of my achievements.
