Awww, you made him so cute, in his jammies and with the shark toy and everything. I honestly think that Glomgold is becoming one of my favorite characters in the DuckTales reboot! I won't lie, part of it IS due to his design, and, well...I love me some fat boys. XD Another part of it is how hammy and over-the-top Keith Ferguson is as the character--never failing to give me a laugh here and there. Anywho, small tangent aside, great job, Snark!

I don't know if you've mentioned it or not on your other media handles, but how have you've been enjoying the DuckTales reboot so far? Favorite voice cast, favorite characters, favorite episodes, do you like the redesigns? GIV ME ALL 'EM DIGITS GURL! XD

Glomgold and Launchpad have essentially been stealing the show for me. I appreciate a character that can make me laugh. I also think that they are doing a better job writing the kid characters, and have been introducing interesting plot concepts. They also made me turn around on opinions-- like I was kinda against Gyro's design at first. But with the personality they gave him, it really fits. I'm also warming up to the reason why Fenton will be Gyro's assistant rather than Scrooge's accountant. From a story narrative, it makes more sense when explained.

However... I am bothered that the show was promoted as being 'like Don Rosa and Carl Barks comics' and then that hasn't been delivered on. And as a Scrooge McDuck fangirl I have been highly disappointed with how they are writing him. So far he has been used as an excuse to go to interesting locations, and then others end up overshadowing him. Besides the first two episodes he hasn't really been allowed to be badass. He hasn't been allowed to explore his business sense of his frugality. He comes off as Scrooge lite, which is a shame that the writers felt they had to downgrade Scrooge in order to make characters surrounding him better.

Also know Frank Angones' history in writing other shows that I liked, I am still not a fan of his choices of throwing characterization out the window just for the sake of jokes. He had a habit of doing it on Wander Over Yonder, and it's been happening here too.

HOWEVER... I am intrigued enough to keep watching. And I'm hoping that some of this is more at fault from the airing order being screwed up by the network-- when it comes to some characters lacking development.

That said, favorite character so far? Glomgold. I honestly want to see more of him on screen. Favorite episode: I want to say 'The Infernal Internship of Mark Beaks' just because of how funny the Scrooge and Glomgold bits were. But I also was super fucking annoyed by Mark Beaks as a character. So I'll add 'The Terror of the Terra-Firmians' onto the list. As I thought that was overall a better episode that also contributed to the plot, and Launchpad had me in stitches.

And I'll say some of the designs have grown on me. I automatically liked Glomgold's design change-- as I am also a fan of chub. But it took me until their introduction episodes to like Gyro and Gladstone's. Seeing them in movement helped. STILL not liking Goldie's design, but I think the show in general isn't doing a good job at actually portraying the older ducks as old. And she's supposed to be Scrooge's age, and she looks younger than my 50 year old mother.
