Exactly why I like it. It's made by both Craig McCracken (Powerpuff Girls/Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends) and Lauren Faust (My little Pony). And yeah, I like all the characters...but I think I'm especially attached to Lord Hater, myself.

Lord Hater has such extreme expressions. I also like how his face structure changes depending on it. It makes drawing/watching him REALLY fun.

I've noticed that watching the episode and in your images too :> and I believe you. I have the same fun watching how the penguins are changing their expressions and behaviors suddenly too
