Because I had more to explain. There will be a 4th part. LOL I couldn't fit all the hairstyles on the end, so I cropped it and decided I'd do a supplement part 4 with a bunch of hairstyle examples ^^Enjoy

I use a little bith of photoshop cs5, but most of my work (including my sketches) are done in PaintTool SAI ^^

[link] that site has links to the official site where you buy it, and the english patch ^^ it's about $56 converted from Yen. I usually use only SAI for the majority of the work, photoshop cs5 for when I need to crop something or do a quick color adjustment - only because it's easier to do those things in cs5. The painting is always SAI.

Yayyy more hair tutorialssss. I been wanting to draw a funny dream i had with my one friend in it, but her hair is ridiculously curly and i didn't know how to draw it. D: But now i do!

I have had trouble with hair for ages. I have looked at many tutorials and despite reading them and being told tips -that have helped a tiny bit- I've otherwise just been as terrible as before or maybe worse.
But this tutorial... its 'really' helped my brain understand much more about how to draw hair. The way you explain, the diagrams, everything. I cannot wait for the next part. I have always wanted to be able to draw hair as I feel it lets my artwork down with my guessing.
Thank you for the tutorial once again. I have linked a friend to it too. I am sure it will help me in the future.

It really helped me. I'm a very visual person and I need a good but clean explanation otherwise I am totally 100% completely lost. Which sadly is why I seem to struggle SO badly when it comes to anatomy (another of my biggest failures which I REALLY want to get good at so I can, of course, draw.)
So yes I was delighted when I found this tutorial.

I don't know why I have trouble with heads... they should be simple but its more of the chin/cheek'ish area I have trouble with.

XD that'll be the first of my anatomy tutorials. i play to break the body down into separate parts and focus on each area a bit. i cant stand anatomy tutorial where the whole body is discussed at once and you miss all the intricacies of each part.

I really do enjoy a real cut down tutorial where it explains each part thoroughly. I think you might just be my saving grace. I was getting so frustrated at my lack of ability to draw even simplistic stuff.

yay! lol i know how it is -_- i think we all struggle with something in our art, and it gets frustrating when you see so many other people doing awesome work and you just can't get it quite right. it's enough to drive you mad! lol

What annoys me even more though is people can draw something really quickly that looks SO easy to me. Then I try and I just cannot do it. Even if its the most simple chibi on earth and I'm like.

oh MAN that is some really nifty trick with the spirals. those things ALWAYS GIVE ME SUCH A HARD TIME. i never thought of wrapping it around a bar.
also oh god may I say that I absolutely ADORELOVE the way that you draw curls! they look like princess hair :C mannnnn gotta practise my curls until I can draw like you!! e__e

oh man i have the hair from hell. it's thick and FRIZZES UP if i don't condition which makes it a BITCH to travel and then it has these CURLS which look nice and all at times but OH MAN THE KNOTS ARE HARD TO BRUSH OUT.
also floof/frizz+curls=80s hair. I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE THE HOUSE SOME DAYS.

omg i know what you mean -__- my hair is just barely naturally curly and it frizzes so much.. which is why i get it put into ringlets -_- which are pretty, but if i dont get up and wash and brush my hair every day i get huge tangles that take an hour or more to brush out -_- such a pain! i have to remember to brush it and braid it before i go to bed to avoid the worst of it XD
