I adore seeing it all coming into place
Seeing this both does and doesn't fill me with confidence - I get an insight into how you work and what I can aspire to - but at the the same time I question whether I can approach that brilliance anytime soon

Eh, I have to agree with Davincipoppalag... you do, indeed, suck for being so good.
Naw, I'm just suffering from Far-envy, because I would have gotten so freakin' bored half-way through this, I never would have finished. You should see my "In Progress" folder, it's piled up with crap that I just got too bored with to finish.
Although, my only crit would be the image on the left, his hand looks a lil' funky. But I'll complain when I can do a better job.

LOL, you only say that only because you've never seen *my* junk folder. About a third of the stuff I start never even leaves the sketch phase. Or the base colours phase because, if there's anything I hate even more than painting ears, it's doing base colours.

Well, I *like* throwing a million colours into shading, but Force! I wish I could hire someone to do solid colours for me. It's even worse when I do comics/cartoons...
