You actually think Revan would stand a chance against the son? Revan would last 7 hours against the son.. Right. Revan lost pretty badly against Vitiate and Vitiate is weaker than the son. The son's feats are incredible. Casually deflecting lightsabers with his hands, killing Ashoka with a mere touch to her head etc. Revan's attacks could most likely not even scratch the son. As for the cunning between these characters, i would wager the son is quite cunning.

In the original idea for the Episode "Ghosts of Mortis". Revan appear with Bane as Force Ghosts. But was discarded. (www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFvj02…
That means that Revan knew of Mortis and The Ones. This personal fan art represent that hypothetical moment

I've seen er readed Revan figthing against Vitiate... Without scourge saw Revan loose and believe that he would never beat Vitiate Revan could inflige a fatal injury to Vitiate soul at the cost of his life.....

The only ones in the movies who actually could defeat Revan would be Palpatine and Yoda. However, after the movies, Luke became so strong that he was the first one to truly master the light side, he even killed an entire legion of Yuuzhan Vong warriors in a single Force blow. Revan is extremely powerful, but his strength lies in strategy, intelligence and wisdom (he is basically like a Star Wars version of Gandalf). The best way Revan could defeat either Luke or Anakin would be if he outsmarted them. Revan has unique knowledge of the Force, both dark and light since he considers both sides equally as valuable to use for greater good. He has the ability to cast illusions which even a strong-minded person couldn't resist, he can also teleport. Revan's lightsaber skills are pretty common. Anakin uses fast and quick moves in order to trick the opponent whereas Revan uses strong and powerful moves in order to unbalance the opponent. However, Anakin gets stronger the angrier he is and unlike most Jedi, Anakin does show emotions in a fight, emotions can be used to win a lightsaber fight. Revan is similar, although he has full control over his emotions, he accepts all means necessary to defeat the opponent. He uses both dark and light side of the Force. It is possible that Revan could defeat Anakin in battle, but remind you that when Anakin became Darth Vader he was retrained by Darth Sidious and became even more powerful. Which means that Revan and Vader have equal chances.

And Revan and Grand Master Luke are pretty even in skill and power if you look at their role playing stats.

As I said, the only way for Revan to win Luke was to outsmart him. Revan is much more intelligent than Luke. He is more determined and unlike Luke, Revan is not afraid to kill unarmed prisoners at his mercy (Revan hates the Jedi code anyway, he is one of the few Jedi who have actually noticed how much hypocrites the council is) and he is one of the best generals in the galaxy, that is official since he led a legion of Jedi and the half of the entire Republic navy to victory against the Mandalorians and governed his own Sith Empire for several years AND created his own Infinite Army in order to free the galaxy from the Republic and the Sith.
Luke, however, is more powerful than Revan when it comes to the Force. Luke has mastered the light side of the Force completely and is even more powerful than Yoda (Luke inherited much of his father's skills and power, and Anakin was basically the offspring of the Force itself). Although, Revan could MAYBE overpower Luke in a lightsaber combat. But as I said, Revan prefers to use strong style in combat to unbalance the opponent, Luke uses various styles. But Luke is not as cunning as Revan.
