A doodle I just *had* to color...
I think I've *finally* figured out Elphaba's costume... I was a bit confused before... anyway, hope you all like this one. The little monkey dude was so much fun to draw... I want one!!!

ah thanks... i liked how in the wizard of oz they made the monkeys blue-faced, so i was going for that... lol... the costumes for the stage really creep me out actually, so i went for cute 'n' cuddly.

well, yes and no! Her real name is ELPHABA, and she's NOT the wicked witch everyone claims her to be. It's all explained in a musical called "Wicked" (again, an intruiging name... but the truth is, she was framed!) anyways... thanks! I've drawn her before, and this is the first time I'm happy with the green color!

This only applies to the musical. In the book, Elphie sort of snaps and essentially says, "Fine, if they want me to be wicked, I'll show them wicked", therefore truly becoming what she's known for...The Wicked Witch of the West. Poor semi-deranged Elphaba...
Luckily for her, even though she melted in the original MGM film and in the original Wicked novel, the musical of Wicked had her stage the melting scene by pretending to melt, only to hide under the trapdoor in her castle. The problem with this is that it defies the Ozian canon, because in every Ozian version of the tale--including the Wicked novel--Elphie truly does get liquidated. But....in the 90's cartoon, she is revived by a surviving band of her Winkie and Winged Monkey followers (Truckle is probably desended from Nikko, who himself desended from Chistery): [link]

yah, they rock! my mom always thought they were scary.... well, personally, I always wanted one! XD i'm sure elphaba wouldn't appreciate us talking about monkeys in that way (like pets) but, you know? we don't have talking flying monkeys in our world, so THERE!!!
