I drew the sketch for this while in Europe, not long after seeing Ramin Karimloo and Gina Beck perform "Phantom" in London. I guess you could say I was inspired!"Past the point of no return
No backward glances
Our games of make-believe are at an end...
Past all thought of "if" or "when"
No use resisting
Abandon thought and let the dream descend..."
This is one of my absolute favorite songs from the show (next to "Music of the Night" and "Final Lair"... goodness, it's so hard to choose, but I finally decided that those are my favorites.)
Anyway. If you do comment, why not tell me what your favorite song is from the show? Is it the sumptuously romantic "All I Ask of You" or the beautifully inspiring "Think of Me"? Or is it one of the lesser-known tracks like "Wandering Child"? Give me your thoughts! I always like to hear them.

My favourite song... oh dear. That is such a hard question for a musical like Phantom XD I love all the songs, but the one that provoked the most emotion in me was the "All I ask of you reprise" :3 I just feel all of his pain welling up inside of me when his voice breaks D: So beautiful

Ah, good point! I love that cd with MC... but lately on broadway and London etc. they've changed the line to "our games of make-believe are at an end..." So, I guess I'm stuck on that version of the line.

This is so awesome. You'd think, because your drawings seem so simple, that they'd just be cutsey little cartoons and nothing more. But really... the look on her face here is absolutely perfect. I am in awe of your ability to jam so much emotion and realism into these great, fun little drawings.
Shoot, favorite song...? My vote is either for Phantom of the Opera, Point of No Return, or Wandering Child. Though I like most of them.

As for my favorite song, thatβs a hard decision! Probably final lair, the characters go through so many emotions! Itβs such a roller coaster ride! And of course it, has pretty much all the songs entwined into it, so there we go

Well, she is rather giving in to the darker side of herself, but innocent to the fact that it's actually ERIK who's singing about all this seductive stuff and what-not... She thinks it's just some good tenor underneath the hood, not the Phantom.

My favourite is actually "Wandering Child" (but not the movie version fail) because the trio makes me melt every time, especially from the stage. And the special effects of fireballs and such are pretty fantastic on stage as well.

ALW definitely does know that, that's one reason I love his shows so much (he knows that the more parts, the more epic, and the more octaves the better.
The problem is... I'm pretty sure that Andrew wasn't present for any part of the movie. The real ALW was gagged with duct tape and locked in a basement closet while Schumacher animated Webber's clone to get permission to send his musical to pot in various ways.

When I saw the show in London I couldn't help but sing along xD mine would have to be "Down once More/Track down this murderer". The trio of Erik, Christine and Raoul singing was just breath taking and so sad

This scene (through the end of the show) is almost always my favorite live. With a good cast, there's so much emotion.
It's wonderful to see it in your style. I love that even though they're simplified, you kept a lot of the details in the costuming. Nice work!

I saw the film first so I mostly judge by that, but "Point of No Return" because it's so damn fantastically atmospheric, or "Down Once More/etc" because of the fab triple harmony mania going on there

Dude, you're so right! I've been thinking about it for a while... this last time that I saw Christine sing it, it brought me to tears! I think that once you learn the lyrics inside out it's hard to listen to them again, but I tried, and It really hit me-- how lost and alone she is.
But first, your other request. I've got some ideas... now to get the time to sketch them out...
