Description
Researchers currently studying the Draconi type Igni have watched this Blaze for around five months. Through video captures with drones, they discovered the poet of the Blaze is named Apollo and his mate Shani.
Apollo has shown similar traits characterized by his type. Very energetic, optimistic, a hard worker and prideful. What differentiates him from other Ignies the researchers documented is his dependence on Shani. Unlike most Igni who can be solitary hunters, Apollo has shown to grow anxious and fidgety when his mate is gone for solo hunts or patrolling their territory. He appears to lose his confidence and be what researchers described a ‘nervous wreck’ until his mate returns, in which he resumes his happy-go-lucky composure.
Shani, meanwhile, appears to display traits not commonly found in Igni types. She’s quiet and rarely speaks. If she does, she does so with short sentences. She’s less energetic than Igni are known for, and researchers have often found her sunbathing atop her cactus den or in other areas of her territory. Shani does carry the independent trait Igni are known for and doesn’t appear bothered when Apollo explores their territory or leaves or other reasons.
The team caught the pair at the perfect time. In the past, the researchers discovered two eggs within the Blaze’s nest. Just recently the eggs hatched, revealing two new hatchlings of the Igni type to the world.
Recently the team sent out a drone to study the Blaze. It returned with a video of Apollo enjoying the sunlight, potentially readying himself for a hunt later in the day. Shani can be seen inside their cactus den, stoic as ever. In an event so cute the researchers had to share in an online forum, they showed the progress of the hatchlings. The eldest child was seen fanning her wings out, much like a bird does when stretching their wing muscles. Apparently while doing this, the hatchling hit their younger sibling in the face.
The researchers stated the younger sibling was fine after the adorable incident. The same could not be said for the drone, which returned with scorched marks and flying on its last legs from a presumed attack by either of the parents discovering it.
