---

Standing in his stirrups, Odo swung the axe on the end of his rope. Praying to Esa to guide his aim, he hurled the weapon at the prykon, and sure enough the blade snared in the beast's serpentine tail. Suddenly the forest was behind him, and a clearing gave way to a sudden drop into a chasm. The horse reared up at the precipice, and Odo was lifted from its back into the night sky. He has somehow banked on his own weight, plus his armour, being too great a load for the already burdened monster, but it managed to keep airborne. Asterith, growing faint, reached towards Odo as he attempted to pull himself up the rope while the prykon writhed in the sky trying to dislodge its new assailant.

36 (Knight Rope)
Odo knew his love was lost
should his manoeuvre fail
skyward he hurled his weapon
to embed in the prykon's tail
The axe stuck in the winged wyrm's tail
but too strong for its snare
rather than being downward dragged
it pulled the knight into the air.
The creature struggled to ascend
weighed down by man in armour
who strived his love to liberate
before aught more could harm her.

Now THAT is one brave and determined knight. The Prykon looks like it's trying to rip Asterith apart in mid-flight! Great work on this!

Yes, Odo is trying to put in a better performance in the reworked version...
