Seeing the dejected Shardae after the departure of the Taikan refugees from Skydas, Lugh made it his personal mission to befriend the dour dame. Hesitant to become fond of any other outsiders, it took her some time to accept that her new companion wasn't going away. After much badgering, she helped teach him the lay of the land. But he wasn't about to be satisfied with a walking tour and started goading her into races. Challenges she was all too happy to accept as it was the only thing that could shut him up for a while. For months he couldn't even compete with her. She wondered why he even tried. It was only recently that she realized he was keeping up. And it occurred to her that there might be a point when he could surpass her. Shardae wasn't about to let that happen; she'd never hear the end of it.
