Description I hate how every other notification I get now is someone's adoptables.
I KNOW YOU HAVE THEM. I KNOW THEY'RE THERE. STOP TELLING ME THEY EXIST.
I DON'T NEED TO BE REMINDED ABOUT THE SAME ADOPTABLES EVERY DAY.
Pings exist too guys. You can use them. I promise.
THERE IS LITERALLY NO REASON OR EXCUSE FOR MULTIPLE UPDATES ON YOUR ADOPTABLES IN A DAY. NONE.
I DON'T CARE HOW PRETTY THEY ARE
THE MORE I SEE THEM
THE MORE I DON'T WANT TO
IF I WANT TO LOOK AT THEM I WILL NAVIGATE TO YOUR PAGE AND LOOK.
I'M SORRY BUT JUST NO.

//gonna scrap this in a bit, but it just pisses me off how many people seem to update like they don't know this exists
if you seriously didn't know
then fine
but use it now

You just wrote down all my frustration here. Thank you.

That drives me crazy too. Β Not only for adoptables, but for journals and a few other things. Β I mean, unless your getting dozens of new watchers every day, I really don't think there is any benefit to updating daily.

in quite honesty, I sometimes update my adopts either
when I add an autobuy option
or when I see that barely anyone has seen it (my average view size is over 200 so if I see only 2 or 5 there, it means that I submitted the adoptables to the wrong time u v u

but I usually don't update an adopt more than 2-3 times. IF I even update one.

I agree with your comment, there are reasons for re-notifying!!

I'm sure they update it when something changes with the adoption and maybe they just want you to know But yeah, it is annoying...I had to unwatch some people temporarily until their auction passes.

As far as I know some of them do legitimately update their deviations when they change information. But MOST of the updates I get are simply updates for the sake of reminding people that they're selling things. If I had the patience to put up with it the 10th time I would temporarily unwatch too, but honestly if I have to do that every time they have an auction it's just not worth it for me.

Yeah that's true...

Yeah, one of my watchers doesn't seem to know about that option either, and I kept getting repeat notifications of updates to existing submissions.Β  I made her aware of it; only time will tell whether she heeds the advice and saves the check-box for truly significant updates.

Really though, I hope she catches on too.Β

To be fair, the box is harder to notice than it used to be; one of the previous iterations of DA's submission interface rephrased the option to make it clearer what the toggle would do.

True enough. Is the default having it unchecked or checked though?

I think it remembers the setting you last had it toggled.Β  It shows up as unchecked for me because I almost never have reason to notify my watchers of an update to a submission (usually I'm fixing a typo or something in the description).
