i like the science fiction aspect of your description. interesting filter on the flame too, sort of otherworldy feeling to it. that would be a mighty wave to reach las vegas! it would knock out alot of neon

Wow. I like how it certainly looks and feels like a wave.
The colors throw me off a little, though. A bit too many browns seem to be coming through, compared to the typical greenish/bluish/grayish ocean color.
