Description Wow I just have a boner for super dark horses don't I?
I know these refs seem boring, but I like doing them. I feel like I can learn something and try something new with each one, without worrying about a whole composition or bg or whatevs.

Name: Pumpernickel
Barn name: Roz, Rosie
Breed: Unknown/Grade draft
Sex: Mare
Age: 14
Height: 18.0hh
Discipline: Western trail riding/hunting mount/all around
Color: Flaxen liver chestnut sabino
Breeding: Closed
Markings: Loud solid sabino markings on all legs and belly. Small star consisting of only a few white hairs on forehead.
Quirks: Almost always has her ears pinned. Resting 'you-know-what' face to the max
Personality: For the most part Rosie is the uncaring grump she advertises herself as, though she does have manners and a soft spot for her owner(Ash), but you are unlikely to see them. A very dominant mare in the pasture and field she needs a strong calm hand, that she trusts, to keep her in control. Generally ridden without a bit.
Background: Born as a PMU foal Roz had a rough start in life. She eventually ended up in a rescue for rehabilitation and was adopted by the Byrd family as a mount that could ferry around their huge member, Ashley. The two have a special bond and Roz just barely tolerates others.

Jump:
Speed:
Gait:
Stamia:
Power:

Not athletic in the typical sense, Rosie has all the strength of a good draft horse. As a way to funnel her early angry energy Roz had many jumping lessons, and though she reaches no great height, she is confident enough to take on any obstruction in her path.
Her gait is not showy, but is comfortable and can carry her and her rider over surprising distances without tiring.

Side 1: Roz with a shortend and maintained mane and tail
Side 2: Mane and tail allowed to grow out and maintained impeccably. Not usually kept like this due to the sheer amount of work required to keep everything nice and neat.
