Sorry about the quality/aspect ratio, DA is a bit more restrictive about video size and quality than I imagined :c If I had known about this, I wouldn't have gone with my usual portrait setup. In the future, I'll go with 4:3 or 16:9 for better viewing experience. For now, here's a link to the animation on Stash, there you can at least view it on proper fullscreen (though there still seems to be some compression on their end)

So um, yea first real attempt at doing some animating For a long time I've wanted to try something like this, especially for the magic and special effects. They always seemed so much more impressive in my mind if they were actually moving instead of just still images. Huge inspiration for this came from my time playing League of Legends. Well, not from playing the game itself, but they used to do this kind of animations for their laucher login screens with many different themes and characters. Much more impressively than this of course XD While this is nowhere near LoL login screen levels, I still feel very amazed of the result given that this was pretty much my first thing with After Effects in many many years.

That's not to say there's no room for improvement, as there definitely is and a lot of it too. Next bigger thing I would like to look into is character rigging so could add some slight motion to characters as well. I could technically do that with Daz, but I honestly don't like Daz timeline which you have to use. Doing it with AE would also fit more in that subtle animation style rather than doing fullblown sommersaults etc. Just to add some natural motion like breathing and eye movements would already go a long way for this style

But there's plenty of time for that. As these take quite a bit of time to do, definitely wouldn't say these will become a "regular" thing. That being said I really did enjoy making it and learning AE so can say for sure that I do want to make more in the future
